冬季オリンピック種目

残念なニュースが飛び込んできました。

IOC press release communicating the Executive Board decisions concerning the future Olympic programme.  “The Executive Board has decided not to include Ski Orienteering, Ski Mountaineering and Winter Triathlon in the review process of the Programme of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games.”

つまり、スキーオリエンテーリングの2014年の採用は見送られたようです。
残念です。

一方、2010年バンクーバー大会では、スキークロスが正式採用されました。これは、スノーボードクロスのスキー版、X-GAMESの冬版です。

スキーオリエンテーリングとの違いは歴然としています。今のオリンピック種目のありようを鑑みると非常に厳しいのが現実です。
